The Land Department of the Western Provincial Council has been established for the purpose of alienation and development of state land within the western province and providing finance, technical and legal support.

I believe that it is important to develop the information technology services of state sector related to lands, in order to better manage state lands, throughout the island.

I extend my sincere good wishes at the launch of the official website of Western Province Land Department, which is in line with Right to Information Act and would enable the public of the province to have transparency on related information for the upliftment of the life style and solutions for the  issues of the people using state lands.
